How to change it

  1. Reach Level 20 (the 3rd Digivolution) — the first two stages are locked to Standard Type.
  2. Open the Partner tab and tap the Link icon (upper-left of the sprite).
  3. Pick a type — Attack, Defense or SP — then confirm.

The cost

Each change costs 500 DigiEmeralds. You can also switch to a different skill tree within the same type to only change your passive skills.

Which type is best?

SP → Recovery is the current meta — constant self-healing plus strong support damage. Details on the Tier Lists & Meta page.
