Tips & Guides
43 guides covering every system in Digimon UP — progression, currencies, farming, combat and account settings. Each card lists the key facts you actually need.
Progression
8 guidesHow to Increase Tamer Level
Tamer Level rises mainly by selling unwanted equipment and plug-ins from the Hologram Device, which converts gear into Tamer EXP. Clearing stages and beating enemies also grants Tamer EXP, but slower.
- Roll gear at the Hologram Device with Hologram Tickets, then sell what you don't need for Tamer EXP.
- Use the Auto function to spin tickets and auto-sell items below your set criteria.
- Higher Tamer Level boosts overall stats, partner skills, and unlocks Rank-Up Missions.
How to Increase Tamer Rank
Rank up by completing all three Rank-Up Missions for your current rank (Profile tab of the Tamer screen), claiming the reward, then tapping Rank Up for a permanent stat boost.
- The three missions: reach a Tamer Level, activate the Hologram Device X times, defeat X enemies.
- Stat bonuses scale by rank — Rank 4 adds HP, Rank 5 adds ATK, Rank 6+ adds DEF and more.
- Missions complete naturally through normal play and dailies.
How to Level Up Partner Digimon
Partner Digimon level up automatically once they gain enough Partner EXP — which comes ONLY from selling Hologram Device gear/plug-ins, not from battles (those give Tamer EXP).
- Partner EXP is earned exclusively by selling gear/plug-ins from the Hologram Device.
- Use Auto (rotating-arrows icon) to auto-spin tickets and auto-sell.
- Digivolution levels: In-Training 5, Rookie 20, Champion 40, Ultimate 65, Mega 90.
How to Increase Battle Power
Battle Power is your total strength from Tamer Level/Rank, Partner level, Skill Cards, Support Digimon and more. Prioritise Tamer progression and your Partner first.
- Top priority: raise Tamer Level & Rank, and level your Partner Digimon (your main DPS).
- Next: Skill Cards (Skill Card Summon) and Support Digimon (Support Summon).
- Then: Buddy System, SP Support (DigiPlates), Training, Food buffs, Digivice, Tactical Memory.
How to Clear Stages
Digimon UP is an auto-battler — leaving the game open clears stages for you. Each stage has 5 waves (4 enemy groups + a boss), with 600 stages across 12 regions.
- 600 stages across 12 regions; clearing Stage 600 loops back to the start at 601.
- Speed clears: enhance gear (Auto unlocks at Stage 11), level Supports/Skill Cards, use 2x speed.
- Every 20 stages cleared raises your idle-reward rates (Bits, Tickets, DigiEmeralds).
How to Do Missions
Missions complete by clearing stages, beating enemies, collecting currency and joining modes — much of it passively. There are six mission types with different reset schedules.
- Guide Quests give Hologram/Summon Tickets; Daily Missions reset 6 AM UTC for DigiEmeralds.
- EX, Collection and Rank-Up Missions grant DigiEmeralds, units, frames and skins.
- Battle Pass Missions run on daily/weekly/seasonal resets.
All Unlock Conditions
Features unlock by clearing stages — and the later systems also gate behind a number of days after the server opened. Both conditions must be met.
- Early: Auto (Stage 11), Dungeons & Skill Card Slot 2 (15), Support Slot 2 (20), PvP (30).
- Mid: Meat Field/Eat (40), Camp (50), Apocalymon Wall (55), Digital World & Training (75).
- Late: Buddy (80), Digivice (120 · +2 days), SP Support (125), Tactical Memory & Metal Sea (150 · +3 days).
- Endgame: Crest (500 · +12 days), Overdrive & Ruins of Trials (1,500 · +17 days).
What Happens When You Die?
If your team is defeated in a boss battle you restart that stage from the beginning — but you keep all EXP and items earned, so there's no lasting penalty beyond the replay.
- No EXP loss and no item loss on death — only in-stage progress resets.
- No currency or other penalties are applied.
- To avoid it: upgrade Skill Cards, swap Supports for attribute advantage, eat DigiMeat before hard stages.
Currency & Items
5 guidesAll Currencies Explained
The game runs on nine currencies. DigiDiamonds are the only real-money premium currency; everything else is earned through idle rewards, dungeons, missions and camps.
- Hologram Tickets → gear from the Hologram Device; Bits upgrade that device.
- DigiEmeralds → daily pulls, seeds/tools, and 500 to change Battle Type.
- DigiDiamonds → premium (real money) for banners and Battle Passes.
- Others: SP Training Chips, Buddy Soul, Skill Card/Support Tickets, Camp Coins.
How to Get DigiPlates
DigiPlates recruit and upgrade SP Support Digimon. The main source is the Apocalymon Wall dungeon, with amounts scaled to your rank placement.
- Apocalymon Wall rank rewards are the primary source — even below 501st gives 60.
- Camp dungeons (Leomon's Dojo, Piximon's Drill Site) can randomly drop them.
- Also from the 7-Day Login Bonus, or the SP Support Growth Pack in the store.
How to Get Hologram Tickets
Hologram Tickets roll for equipment at the Hologram Device — one of the three most important currencies. Grab 1,000 free from the Presents button on your first login.
- Tap Presents (top-left) at the start for 1,000 free tickets.
- Idle Rewards accrue tickets automatically; watch up to 2 ads for bonuses.
- Also from Guide Quests, the Battle Pass (Premium gives far more), and dungeons.
How to Get Bits Fast
Bits upgrade the Hologram Device for better gear. Farm them fastest through Idle Rewards and daily Camp check-ins.
- Idle Rewards accrue ~225 Bits / 5 min, up to ~21,600 over a full 8-hour window.
- Camp Check-In gives 5,000 Bits daily (needs Stage 50 + a Camp).
- Watching a 2-hour idle ad gave ~4,800 Bits, twice daily; selling gear also adds Bits.
Should You Buy the Battle Pass?
Not necessary — free resources are enough to clear stages and evolve Digimon. Buy it only if you specifically want extra resources.
- Three passes — Hologram, Skill Card, Support — each 1,000 DigiDiamonds.
- Hologram Pass gives Tickets, Summon Tickets and DigiEmeralds; the others give their Summon Tickets.
- Rewards expire at season end; each new season must be repurchased.
Systems & Training
7 guidesHow to Eat and Food Effects
Feeding your Partner consumes meat from the Meat Field and grants Food Effects of varying rarity plus EXP toward your Food Level. Base cost is 100 meat per feeding.
- Feed via the Eat tab in Explore; locking effects to persist costs far more meat (300 for 1, 600 for 2).
- Effects reset on the next meal unless locked; higher Food Level improves rare-effect odds.
- Bigger feedings (e.g. 300 meat) grant more EXP than the base 100.
Meat Field Guide
Plant Digimeat seeds on plots to grow meat for feeding. You start with one plot and choose among three seed rarities with different grow times and yields.
- Seeds: Digimeat (fast, low), Good Digimeat (moderate), Great Digimeat (slow, massive yield).
- Helper priority: Togemon → Lillymon → Vegiemon for harvest and growth bonuses.
- Watering Cans cut grow time (Tiny -30 min for DigiEmeralds, Huge -60 min for DigiDiamonds).
Camp Guide: How to Unlock Camps
Camps are guild-like hubs unlocked at Stage 50 in Greenshade. They offer Camp Dungeons, campmate support for Camp Coins, and an exclusive Camp Shop.
- Creating a camp costs 100 DigiEmeralds; there's a 24-hour cooldown after leaving one.
- Two Camp Dungeons (twice daily) reward Camp Coins, Hologram Tickets and DigiPlates.
- Supporting campmates earns Camp Coins (10/day); the shop sells Acceleration Tickets and more.
Training Guide
Training unlocks at Stage 75 and spends SP Training Chips on a tree of stat-boosting courses. Deeper courses cost more and are time-gated.
- SP Training Chips come free from the Digital World Search minigame (same unlock stage).
- Prioritise Sandbag and Pound courses for damage, then crit-rate and defense.
- Course wait times can be sped up with ads or Acceleration Tickets.
How to Use and Level Up Hologram Device
The Hologram Device is a gacha that spends Hologram Tickets for Equipment or Plugins — keep them or sell for Tamer EXP, Partner EXP and Bits. It's leveled with Bits.
- Auto (unlocks Stage 11) spins until it finds items matching your Auto-Sell settings.
- Level up by filling the Bits gauge (up to six gauges), then a research countdown runs.
- Speed research with ads, Acceleration Tickets or camp help; you must claim before the next level.
Different Dimension Box Guide
Unlocked at Stage 160, the DD Box connects a Buddy Digimon to earn rewards passively. It has PvP elements — steal and protect Data Shards from other players.
- Four boxes (one active at a time); connections auto-disconnect after 16 hours.
- Yields Data Shards, Bits and Decor; Decor boosts drop rates, steals and defense.
- Data Shards buy high-rarity decor and Digital World Search resources.
Digital World Guide
A grid minigame unlocked at Stage 75 where you move square by square to collect SP Training Chips (rarely Summon tickets). Movement uses three separate resources.
- Stamina moves you (max 100, +1/10 min); Attack breaks obstacles; Dash advances 3 spaces.
- Line obstacles up horizontally to maximise Dash efficiency.
- Main reward is the SP Training Chips used by the Training feature.
Combat
5 guidesHow to Speed Up Battles
Max battle speed is x2. Watch an ad for a temporary boost, or pay to remove the ad requirement and time limit entirely.
- Tap the blue "x1" button above Rewards → watch an ad for x2 speed for 30 min (twice daily).
- The Battle Acceleration Pass gives all-day x2 for 30 days (480 DigiDiamonds), no ads.
- The Ad Skip Pass is a one-time purchase that permanently removes ads.
How to Change Battle Type
Switch your Partner between Attack, Defense and SP after the Rookie stage. Done via the Link icon in the Partner menu for 500 DigiEmeralds each time.
- Unlocks at Partner Level 20 (3rd Digivolution); the first two stages are Standard Type.

- You can also swap skill trees within the same type to change only passive skills.

- Every 20 stages cleared raises the rate of Bits, Hologram Tickets and DigiEmeralds.
- Watching an ad grants 2 hours of rewards, twice daily.

- One change only — confirm carefully.

Can You Turn Off Chat?
No — chat can't be disabled or removed from the battle screen. The only workaround is filtering it to a single language.
- Chat cannot be turned off; you also can't receive direct messages.
- Workaround: set Display Language to "Selected" via the gear icon and pick one of 9 languages.
Character Creation and Customization
At the start you set your Tamer's skin tone, eye shape/colour and hair colour — these are permanent. After the tutorial, the Customize tab equips cosmetic Gear.
- Base appearance can't be changed later; cosmetics (outfit, shoes, accessory, hair) can.
- Every Gear piece you obtain — even if sold — is permanently unlocked as a cosmetic.
- Cosmetics are aesthetic only; stats come from equipped Gear.
How to Link Bandai Namco Account
Open Menu → Data Link → log in or register a Bandai Namco ID. Linking enables code redemption, a second Partner Digimon, and cross-device save transfer.
- An EX Mission rewards a Partner Digimon Ticket for a 2nd partner (usable after the 5th evo stage).
- Required to redeem promotional codes.
- Lets you transfer your save and continue on another device.

- In PvP/dungeons, pick winnable lower-Power opponents to keep progressing.
