Best Tamer Skills in Digimon World: Next Order
You (the Tamer) level up too, earning Tamer Points — about 3 per level — to spend on a tree of 71 skills across Basic, Trainer and Survivor branches. They shape battle control, your partners' lifespan, stat inheritance and money. Here's where to spend first.
Get these first
Defense Order
Order your Digimon to block ~90% of incoming damage for a few seconds — a lifesaver before you understand the battle system.
Second Order
A second order gauge so you can chain commands; huge for control in tougher fights.
Stat Inheritance
Boosts how much of a Digimon's stats carry over when it reincarnates — cuts training time every generation.
Life Boost & Big Life Booster
Extend both partners' lifespans so you can actually finish the story without constant rebirths.
Health / Invigorating / Healthy Runner
Passively regenerate HP, MP, or both while moving — saves items and pulls you through fights.
Digiegg Polish
Improves newly hatched eggs — an easy early pick that pays off all game.
The skill branches
- Basic — foundational buffs (egg polish, drop rate, convenience).
- Trainer — Teacher, Life-Care and Evolving types that speed training, extend life and help digivolution.
- Survivor — Finder and Extractor types plus combat power; strong later, but skip the raw power upgrades while you're still learning.
Priority order, in short
Defense Order → Second Order → Stat Inheritance → Life extenders → the Runner regen skills. That set makes battles survivable, shortens the training grind between generations, and keeps your partners alive long enough to matter. Leave heavy Survivor power nodes until you're comfortable.
