Digimon World: Next Order Training Guide

Your Digimon only get strong through training, and their stats are what gate digivolution and win boss fights. Here's how the six stats grow and how to raise them efficiently without burning your partners out.

The six stats

Every Digimon has HP, MP, Strength (STR), Stamina (STA), Wisdom (WIS) and Speed (SPD). Digivolution requirements are written in these, so train toward a specific target form using the Digivolution Guide.

Two ways to train

  • Gym training — pick a machine for the stat you want and play its timing minigame. Landing on a symbol grants a 1.25× bonus to that session; the right training food and time of day add extra symbols. Reliable and controllable.
  • Field battles — fighting wild Digimon raises stats fast once you know good targets. Higher-level enemies give more, so battle in areas that match your partners — see the field map.

How to train efficiently

  • Split roles. Train one partner into a physical attacker (STR) and the other into a caster (WIS) so they complement each other in battle.
  • Early game, prioritise Speed, HP and MP — Speed decides turn order and survivability carries you through the first bosses.
  • Five then rest. Do about five training sessions, then rest to refill energy and top up HP/MP. Resting keeps your Digimon happy, which matters for growth.
  • Watch exhaustion. Training and fighting raise fatigue; let it get too high and it shortens your Digimon's lifespan. A short rest resets it — don't grind blindly.
  • Feed for the target. Food shifts weight and stats, and some digivolutions need a weight range — manage it with the right food.

Keep care mistakes low throughout — they block many digivolutions and shorten life. When a partner passes on, it reincarnates as an egg with inherited potential, so the next generation trains up faster.
