Digimon Survive Recruitment Guide

Outside of story battles, Digimon Survive lets you recruit wild Digimon in Free Battles by talking to them. Answer their questions the way they like to fill their approval gauge, and they'll join you or hand over an item to recruit them. There are 117 obtainable Digimon in total.

How recruitment works

  • Use Talk in Free Battles. Select a wild Digimon and choose Talk to ask it questions. Each Digimon reacts to answers differently based on its personality.
  • Fill the gauge. Good answers raise agreement; fill the meter (usually 2–3 good responses) and the Digimon offers to join or gives a recruitment item.
  • Karma matters. Your Karma alignment corresponds to an attribute (Vaccine / Virus / Data), making same-aligned Digimon easier to win over.
  • Read the room. Emotional Digimon like empathetic answers; blunt ones prefer direct answers — match the tone and watch the reaction before committing.

Obtainable Digimon
