Digimon Survive Talk & Recruitment Answers
Recruiting Digimon in Survive comes down to the Talk system: answer a wild Digimon's questions the way it likes to fill its emotion gauge, then ask it to join. Here's exactly how the gauge works and how to read each Digimon so your answers land.
How the Talk gauge works
- Three questions. Talk to a wild Digimon and it asks up to three questions, each with a best, okay, bad and worst answer based on its personality.
- The gauge has 6 sections. A best answer fills +2, an okay answer +1, a bad answer −1, and the worst answer −2.
- Reach 3+ sections and the Digimon will offer to join you or give an item. Below 3 it gets angry and its battle stats go up.
- It can still say no. Even at a full gauge there's a listed % chance to decline — pick "befriend" only when the odds look good, or top up the gauge first.
Karma changes your odds
Your Karma shifts recruitment success by attribute:
- Moral — better odds against Vaccine, worse against Data.
- Wrathful — better odds against Virus, worse against Vaccine.
- Harmony — better odds against Data, worse against Virus.
Reading the answers
Each Digimon has a personality and the "best" answer matches its mood — emotional Digimon prefer warm, empathetic replies; blunt or proud ones prefer direct, confident answers; jokers like playful ones. Watch the reaction after each answer: a happy response means +2, so you can course-correct on the next question. Two good answers are usually enough to clear the gauge.
